US President Donald Trump has said that the proposed Golden Dome missile defense system would be given to Canada for free if it became a US state.


Trump said that if Canada is not part of the United States, it will cost $61 billion to join the Golden Dome missile defense system. Trump has long proposed that Canada become the 51st state of the United States.


Although Canada has expressed interest in joining the Golden Dome missile defense system, it has strongly rejected the idea that the country might lose its sovereignty.


Trump wrote on his social media account Truth Social, "I told Canada that if they want to be part of our wonderful Golden Dome as a separate country, rather than being integrated with the United States, they will have to spend $61 billion." Read more
